Karma always comes back to people who do wrong and the ones who stand up for themselves always come out undefeated. However, these statements that were deeply rooted inside me have started vanishing bit by bit. I was always taught to understand different perspectives, speak the truth and never to think bad about others. To my surprise, these teachings had unknowingly been demolished when I started following the media not long ago!

No evidence! No court statements! No confession! But just screenshots of whatsapp messages and reporters ranting blames made us hallucinate and believe that these hallucinations created by the media were the reality. Now this is where a lot of individuals including me lost their deep rooted teachings. We forgot about understanding perspectives and started forming judgements too soon, without logical reasoning and confirmation of any facts. The media started feeding our brains with information that they wanted us to believe and we very generously fed our brains with their statements. We started thinking bad for Rhea Chakraborty, wished for her death, wanted her to be jailed, trolled her and bullied her. She was treated in the most inhuman way and the irony was that it was humans who were doing it!
The most astounding part for me was that she was accused of being part of Sushant Singh Rajput’s murder and was questioned for the same several times, but was put behind bars for a completely different reason. For drugs!! Now me being a teenager, have seen several people talk about drugs and consume them too. However, this was the time I went through self realization. So many people from all across India consume drugs but those were the same people who wanted Rhea Chakraborty to be punished for consuming drugs. Strange!! If one person is punished for doing something wrong, why spare the others? And if others get away with it, then why not let Rhea get away with it? And if consuming and selling Drugs is such a huge offense, then why didn’t the government do anything about it? I’m sure if a common person like me knows about drugs and people who consume it, the government would know a lot more. It’s not something that is not common now. If we are trying to bring about the right change, bring the change rightly!
This article gave me double assurance that it is no more about Rhea Chakraborty having committed a crime or being wrong or right. It is more about the media trying to prove their point to the people with the help of a girl named Rhea Chakraborty. Thus, comes the phrase, “the Hounding of Rhea Chakraborty.”
